Sarah Sanders Claps Back at CNN President: ‘You Chose to Attack and Divide’

Sarah Huckabee Sanders has dismissed the denunciation by CNN that claimed President Donald Trump has a poor way of handling the press.

The President’s continual slamming of journalists and media has been criticized, and critics have said that it makes for a certain atmosphere, which later led to suspicious packages sent to the New York headquarters of CNN. Key Democrat figures have also received similar packages.

Trump has recently called the press the “enemy of the people” and crowds at his rallies have chanted “CNN sucks.” Last week Trump praised a Republican congressman who had assaulted a reporter from The Guardian.

Trump has said recently that the media is the “enemy of the people” and his supporters have been chanting “CNN sucks” during rallies. According to the Newsweek, the President praised a Republican congressman a week ago, who had assaulted a reporter from The Guardian.

Jeff Zucker, CNN president, clapped back at the White House and said it has a “total and complete lack of understanding” about press attacks and added that Capitol Hill must “understand their words matter. Thus far, they have shown no comprehension of that.”

Sanders backed President Trump, adding that he provided an adequate answer to the violent threats. Sanders also claimed that the President called for people “to come together and send one very clear, strong, unmistakable message that acts or threats of political violence of any kind have no place in the USA.”

“You chose to attack and divide. America should unite against all political violence,” Sanders said.

CNN’s headquarters was evacuated after a suspicious package was intercepted containing an explosive device similar to one addressed to former president Barack Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and billionaire philanthropist George Soros. None detonated and the FBI are investigating.
