Sexual Awareness Month: Protesters Will Project ‘Rapist in White House’ Messages on Trump’s Hotel

The messages “Impeach Trump” and “There’s a Rapist in the White House” are set to be projected onto the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., Monday night, in light of Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April, Newsweek reported.

Care2, a social network of more than 45 million people, plans to shine the projection at 8:15 p.m. to highlight at least 20 women’s accusations of sexual misconduct by Trump.

“We felt that the accusations of sexual assault were strong enough to call him what he is: a rapist in the White House,” Care2 organizing strategist Lacey Kohlmoos told Newsweek Monday afternoon. “And we felt that in light of how morally unfit he is to be a leader of our country, the call to impeach him is the correct move.”

Care2 also plans to shine the messages “Trump Is a Serial Sexual Assaulter,” “Groper-in-Chief” and “Morally Unfit.”

The latter message echoes the words of former FBI Director James Comey on Sunday night, when he gave his first interview since being fired by Trump.

Along with the projections, Care2 is updating a petition it started a year ago to impeach Trump. It will include the sexual assault allegations as one reason for his removal. As of Monday afternoon, the petition had more than 342,000 signatures.

Through the projection, Care2 is “honoring the survivors of Trump’s predatory behavior,” the network stated in a release.

“It brings attention not only to his survivors but to all survivors that this is a problem, that we cannot allow these predators in power to remain in power, and that when the election comes up we hope people remember this and people remember the survivors, and that we have the power to take them down,” Kohlmoos said.

The efforts to impeach the President include the Need to Impeach campaign, which has gathered more than 5.1 million signatures calling on Congress to start proceedings to remove Trump.
